Dress: Watters Austin. Ivory Washed Silk Organza strapless soft folded ball gown, with self rouched belt and flower detail at waist.
Purchase: I bought this dress off the rack at A L'Amour Bridal Boutique in Barrington, IL. The dress was brand new and I was one of the first to try it on. Although this dress was off the rack, since it was brand new, I paid full retail value for this dress.
Material: The silk organza was very light and flowy, so it was easy to pick up and maneuver the train throughout the day. The dress looks beautiful when you turn since it just flows with your body.
Neckline: I love the sweatheart neckline because it was not too shallow or too deep. There is some rouching detail and the right side crosses over the left side.
Waistline: The waistline sits at your natural waist.
Belt: This is my favorite part of the dress. The belt is rouched, has two fluffy flowers which sit on the left-side of your waist, and has a button closure. I think the flowers make the dress. They add a subtle classy detail.
Silhouette: This is technically a ball gown dress, but because of the light silk organza material the dress does not poof out too much. There are these "folds" around the outter layer of the skirt so that the organza can layer perfectly and create the fluffy look of the skirt. See pictures for close-ups of the skirt.
Back: Zipper closure.
Train: The trains extends about 23 inches from the hem and my seamstress added a french bustle. Since the material is so flowy the bustle blends right in with the skirt.
There is a small tear (2cm) in the outter layer of the skirt, but the tear is fully covered by the belt.
